Mr Gateley studied medicine at Downing College, Cambridge and King’s College Hospital, London, both prestigious institutions and renowned for their medical excellence in medical education and training.

Before starting his career in plastic surgery, he trained in general surgery, orthopaedic surgery and neurosurgery. He also gained a Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship in the US, achieving UK certification of higher surgical training in plastic surgery in 1996. He worked at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Roehampton, Guy’s and St. Thomas’s Hospitals and St George’s Hospital, where he was Head of Plastic Surgery. St George's Hospital is one of Europe's largest teaching hospitals. Mr Gateley has trained many of the current generation of plastic surgeons. Every year, he gives some of his time to operate and train plastic surgeons in developing countries. . 

Mr Gateley works out of Harley Street and Wimbledon, London. He has a holistic approach to facial treatments and likes to combine several techniques, both surgical and non-surgical, to achieve the best results for his patients. He shares the Kensington Medical patient journey ethos and champions high standards of integrity within the industry.
